The principle of operation of the submersible

When the wheel starts, kinetic energy arises, transmitted to the blades, and from them to the liquid. As a result, water is scattered to the walls, then it moves from the receiver to the adjacent (upper) chamber, and another portion of water from the well comes into its place under pressure.

Before buying, it is important to consider all the characteristics necessary for the right choice.
Namely:
- well diameter;
- well flow rate;
- well water levels (static and dynamic);
- estimated water consumption;
- distance from the source to the house;
- pressure in the accumulator (damper tank).
The diameter of the well is very simple to determine - it is indicated in the data sheet, which is issued by the company that performs drilling and installation of equipment. Most likely, the diameter is typical, that is, it has dimensions of 100 mm, 133 mm, 152 mm. Aquarius pumps are best installed in wells with a cross section of more than 100 mm.
The flow rate is also indicated in the passport, thanks to this parameter it is easy to select the pump according to its capacity. It is important that the pump parameters do not exceed the numbers indicated in the documents.
Suppose that the flow rate of the source is 3 m³ / h. This is a rather low indicator, which means that models from the BTCPE 1.2 series (or higher performance) do not need to be purchased; BTCPE 0.5 is enough.
When more powerful equipment is in operation, the volume of water in the source will not have time to recover, and the device will be drained and automatically shut off.
The water level must be known in order to correctly determine the installation depth of the pump. Usually the distance to the water mirror and from the surface to the bottom is indicated in the passport, however, a couple of nuances must be remembered.
The first concerns the installation features of the submersible pump - it is lowered 4-5 m below the surface. The second is the instability of the water level.
In the warm period, the level usually decreases, and the difference with the initial indicator can be up to 4-5 m. It turns out that for installation it is necessary to know the minimum level.

To calculate the total water flow, several factors must be considered:
- number of permanent residents;
- the number of points of use inside the house (bathroom, kitchen, shower);

Purchase of components for installation in the well
In addition to purchasing a pump, to which an electric cable and a cable for hanging are attached, it may be necessary to purchase the following equipment:
- Accumulator with a set of adapters. For a small family (2-3 people) a small hydraulic accumulator with a volume of 100 liters is enough: the larger the volume, the less often the device will turn off).
- Head. The purpose of the head for the well is to cover the mine from street debris and precipitation, serves as a place for fastening pipes.
- Pipe from pump to tank. Required for external use, with a diameter of 32 mm or 40 mm.
- Adapter from pipe to submersible pump. For a Aquarius pump and a pipe with a diameter of 32 mm, a type 1 ’product with an external cut of 32 mm is suitable.
- Steel cable with clamps. If the product supplied is not suitable for some reason.
- Submarine cable. It is applied to electric cables.

Check Valve Installation
The non-return valve does not come with the pump, but its presence in the home water supply device is necessary. The main purpose of the valve is to block the movement of water in the opposite direction.
This means that during operation, the non-return valve is open and allows the fluid to move freely towards the points of analysis. However, when the pump is turned off, it blocks the water, preventing it from moving backward.
The valve is installed directly at the outlet of the downhole pump. It is mounted in a pipe above the pump, in some cases - at a small distance from it (no more than 1 m).
When installing the valve, pay attention to the arrow indicating the direction of water movement. This is necessary so as not to embed the part with the back side.
The installation of the check valve in the well is performed on the pressure pipe immediately after the submersible pump. When installing a surface pump, the valve is fixed at the end of the nozzle lowered into the water
Cable Mounting
A nylon cable for mounting the pump is included, however, some users note that over time, the elastic material loses its elasticity and stretches.
To prevent deformation, you can use a stainless steel cable.It is threaded through special holes in the upper part of the pump casing and firmly tied.
Together with the cable, it is necessary to lower the electric cable into the well. In order to prevent mechanical damage and additional load on it, you should make a kind of bunch of safety cable, pipe and power cable.
We fasten the cord not in a stretch, but in a loop-like manner, with small allowances. It is forbidden to lift the pump from the well by the electric cable.

We carefully lower the interconnected communications into the casing to a predetermined depth. The pump must never touch the bottom.
Power Connection and Testing
Remember that the operation of the Aquarius pump is possible only if the voltage parameters are observed - 220 V. With other indicators, the normal functioning of the equipment is not guaranteed. If the network specifications do not meet the manufacturer's requirements, connect a voltage regulator.
Having plunged the pump into the well, make sure that its casing is completely in the water. The power cord should not be stretched like a string. Only after checking the fulfilled conditions, proceed to connect the Aquarius pump to the power source.
If the device began to pump water and turned off only when the automation was triggered, everything was done correctly.

Preventive cleaning should be carried out once every 1-2 years, but emergency unscheduled repairs are also possible if the parts are worn out or the suction pipe is filled with sand ahead of time
If the pump does not turn on, perform the following steps:
- check the presence of contacts in the outlet;
- inspect the pump for clogging with sand;
- measure the voltage, with a deficiency we connect the stabilizer.
If productivity suddenly drops, we check to see if a leak has appeared in the pipeline. At the same time we inspect and clean the filters. When reducing voltage, we use a stabilizer.
Sooner or later, the pump will become clogged with sand, so we clean it: remove the mesh and the protective groove, separate the pump part and the electric motor, check the shaft operation, and rinse all the elements. We assemble the device in the reverse order.
